I figured we could use this. If you are at a final table then you can post here and if anyone wants to come and watch they can. So you can just always just this one thread.

Currently I'm at the final table of the Empire Happy Hour $10K, I'm 5th in chips. Name is IUHoosier24. I took 4th in the Full Tilt $109 tonight so looking to do a little better here.

Finished up 3rd for $1200, the 4th at Full Tilt was $976, pretty unsatisfying. In my last 7 Full Tilt $109s, Ive gotten 5th, 1st, 5th, 10th, out, 5th, 4th.

Well its light duty for me tonight...in fact it will be for awhile. my winter plans to play 5 b&m tournys weekly and 2-3 online tournys daily have washed out after only a month..why???? cause im on the worst streak of bad luck ive ever heard of much less seen...after scoring in like 5 of my 1st 8 live tournys ive now gone on a 1-8 run....including 1 where i didnt even make the 1st break and 2 where i finished on the bubble...no not close to the bubble, ON the frickin bubble...in 2 or 3 of them i bet i didnt play 6 hands, just cant get any cards or when i do they at the wrong time..i get AJ the other guy has AQ..just today i went almost an hour without playing a hand, finally got AQs with only 3 people left that could call.1 did and yep....AK!!!!

so im changing it up....starting tonight im back at intertops playing the 1,5 and 10 dollar tournys. if for no other reason than to get my confidence back up....ill play also 1 20,30 or 50 tourny at stars or PP every other night with an ocassional jump at Bodog....I dont win some tourny money by the end of the month im taking dec off all together...im going to take off the whole month then walk into the WSOP at Tunica in january icecold...hey its better than going in on a downturn!!!

tonight....2-freerolls at intertops..7pm and 9 pm 1 $20 nlh at poker stars at 8pm...ill update should a final table develop

LOL. How long have you been playing? Those are pretty good results. Be satisfied.

pro since sept 04, been playing since i was 16 or so. Can never be satisfied, ended up getting 4th last night. This was my best online month ever and it could have been a lot more if I could have closed out some tourneys.

If you feel you could have played better then don't be satisfied. If you're looking only at your results, then you're not satisifed just because you could have been luckier, are you? I'm sure you've seen a lot of losing streaks and can appreciate when you have a good winning one (i frequently follow a great month with a terrible one (damn!), but at the end of the year everything works out).

Some players are good at getting in the money but have trouble reaching the top spots, frequently because they are short on chips at the final table. And they they compound that problem because they don't understand how to play a short stack. Some are lucky to get there with a lot of chips and don't know how to play a large stack. If you think you fit in one of these categories then you shouldn't be satisfied.

By the way, if you haven't already done so, pick up Dan Harrington's books on no-limit tournaments. The second one deals with the end of tournaments and it's top notch.

I played fine, yeah i guess i just didnt win a few coinflips and 60/40s basically near the end. I can play a shortstack very very well and am pretty dangerous with a large stack as well, i never limp into the money, always trying to win. I have both of his books, I'm not the hugest fan of them though.

got 2nd for $2400, i had a 2.5-1 chip lead heads up after being down big with 3 left. Got all in with A2 vs A3 on a AQ9 flop, turn brought me a flush draw, but the river was a dreaded 3 and I could never recover from there. Got it all in preflop with A6 vs A7 and I flopped a pair, but he hit a strait on the turn.

Great job; a tough six-hour grind. I really respect those of you who can maintain that level of concentration for that long.I stayed around and watched the end. Zeejustin offered a chop when they were down to 3 but the guy who ended up 2nd refused to pay the premium. Zee wanted $12k off the top. The other player wanted to chop and ended up finishing 3rd. He lost about $15k because the others wouldn't agree.
